Program Coordinator (Part Time)

Hours: 20/ week

Pay Rate: $15 /hour

Description: The program coordinator will be responsible for SBCA events and programming including trash cleanups, invasive species removal days, guided hikes, and tabling at events. The program coordinator will assist with planning, promoting, and running these events. This individual will also help with the development of educational materials about the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer and will aid the association in monitoring relevant advocacy issues.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Personable, strong public speaking skills
  • Knowledge of environmental issues, central Texas ecology, aquifer and riparian systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or relevant field
  • 1-2 years working or interning at environmental nonprofit
  • Experience working with volunteer groups
  • Physically able to lead hikes (up to 4 miles), lift tabling/outing equipment
  • Computer literate, some graphic design experience preferred
  • Technical writing skills
  • Dependable, able to work independently
