Join us to learn about the 100-year water plan being developed by Austin Water that considers the city’s growth and the changing climate to identify what Austin will do over the next 100 years to meet our water needs. Speaker, Robert Mace, is the Deputy Executive Director of The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment and a Professor of Practice in the Department of Geography at Texas State University.09/12 Nerd Night- Water Quality Protection lands

09/14 Kids Fest- Mother Earth Day Festival
9:00 am – 1:00 pm (2 board volunteers needed 8:30 am- 11 am, 11 am- 1:30 pm)
Visit Zilker Park to experience the art, magic, and fun of this family-friendly festival! Sponsored by SBCA, there will be music, games, and interactive exhibits celebrating the Barton Creek watershed.

 
09/19 Back-to-School Living Springs Screening 
7:30 pm – 9:00 pm (1 board volunteer needed to table 7 pm- 8:15pm)

Come spread your blanket and enjoy a selection of short films (45 minutes total) from Living Springs documentary series. Living Springs, produced by Karen Kocher, takes viewers on a journey through Barton Springs Pool. Barton Springs Pool
Produced by Save Our Springs Alliance, this all-day educational event is geared towards high school and college students, as well as the general public. Highlights include lectures such as “100 Years of Zilker Park History” and hands-on activities with organizations such as Austin Bat Refuge.
